The first one of the artwork series I’ve done for Otacute’s mascot contest.

Even though I didn’t make it (once again), it has helped me improve a great deal (I’ll upload the other ones in the next days, so see for yourself) and I might have found a style, coloring technique that I am – finally – comfortable with.

It seems to pose a real problem that I all do is make up new characters but don’t spend time on fleshing them out. But every one of them grows on me so much that I don’t want to believe I’ll never draw them again. Mayu’s probably one of those characters that I won’t touch anymore (now that the contest is over). But I’ve put a lot of  effort in designing her.
